Concept

This project focuses on a topic that people generally avoid discussing—death. Throughout history, death has been viewed as a terrifying end. The passing of a loved one or friend often leaves an emotional wound that is difficult to heal, and can even trap some people in their memories, unable to move on. In this project, I aim to break through this fear and avoidance, reinterpreting death in a gentler, more human way. What I wish to convey is that death is not a monstrous force, but a natural part of life. We must learn to accept the departure of our loved ones and find ways to keep them alive in our memories, for the true end is not death, but being forgotten.

The project will primarily use visual storytelling as its mode of expression, combining real-life cases with personal emotional experiences. Through artistic processing and symbolic imagery, it aims to evoke resonance and reflection in viewers. I hope audiences will gain a new understanding of death through the work, finding the strength to face it with composure and bid farewell with tenderness.
